What is Panorama?

What is Panorama?

Panorama is a tool in Moodle that improves the accessibility of digital media and course content. It has multiple components that improve accessibility within Moodle:

  • Provides an Accessibility Gauge to represent the accessibility of Moodle content (including files uploaded into Moodle). See the How to Use Panorama for Accessibility Remediation tutorial for instructions.
  • Provides a Course Accessibility report to measure the level of accessibility in your course and track trends over time. See the How to Use the Panorama Course Accessibility Report for instructions.
  • Can resolve accessibility issues within your course content with the Remediation Engine for Moodle content and documents.
  • Provides alternative formats to students in the moment, if content is not accessible to them, or if they prefer an alternative format. Alternate formats available include: Text File, EPUB, Audio Podcast, Language Translations, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and more. For information on how students can use Panorama to download alternative formats, see Generating Alternative Formats for Accessibility.
