Updating URLs in Moodle to be Accessible (using Panorama)

In this tutorial, you will learn how to update your long URLs/hyperlinks to make them short and descriptive.

Tutorial Steps
Step 1

Enable Edit mode on your course page.

Step 2 Choose "edit settings" for the item with the long and/or undescriptive hyperlink.  Edit settings option outlined in blue
Step 3 In the text editor, click the dial icon.  Panorama dial outlined in blue
Step 4 Click Fix Issue next to "This link should have a descriptive title."  Fix issue button with a blue outline
Step 5

A dialogue box will pop up, explaining the issue and giving you an opportunity to type in a "Link Description." Type in something that tells students where the link will take them (such as "Google Search" or "YouTube Video"), not "Click Here."

Click the Add Change button.

Step 6 Now, click Fix Issue next to any other issues and Panorama will walk you through those steps.  Fix issue button
Step 7 Once it makes the update(s), close the Panorama box and then click Save Changes or Save and Return to Course.
