Modeled after SafeZone and GreenZone, this two-hour training is designed to increase awareness and support for people with visible and invisible disabilities. The program covers the history of disability and laws that impact those with disabilities in higher education and highlights the voices of students with disabilities. The program will help SCC employees understand disability as an important aspect of diversity, and it introduces Universal Design as it relates to access and inclusion in higher education settings. This program will provide participants with the knowledge, tools, and skills to work more effectively and confidently with people with disabilities. This session is offered hyflex and will be recorded. Please note that to receive a completion certificate, you will need to attend the sessions on Jul 8th and Jul 9th.
