What is an “accessible document”? Bring your laptop (or use one of ours) and find out in this hands-on workshop! We’ll work together to make basic updates to documents (Word, Google Docs, and PowerPoints) to make them more accessible to all students. This session would be helpful for both instructors as well as staff who create and use documents. Instructors who have chosen “Accessible Documents” or “Accessible PowerPoints” as their category for their Accessibility Review for this semester may find this session especially helpful, as it will address items covered in those categories.

Learning Objectives:
  • Discuss the importance of making documents more accessible to students
  • Identify and create accessible text
  • Identify and create accessible document structure with headings and lists
  • Incorporate accessible images, tables, and hyperlinks in a document
