Use the following instructions and resource to create a transcript for your audio file.

  • If you have a script for the audio file, simply upload the script near the audio file linked in your course.
  • If you do not have a script, you can create an initial transcript by using a tool and then editing the result.
    • Follow this tutorial (Google Support) to get a Google Doc set up so it will transcribe for you.
    • Start playing your audio so the Google tool can capture the transcript from the audio.
    • Afterwards, update the transcription with corrections and paragraph breaks to make the document easier to read.
    • Then, upload it into your course near the audio file so that students can easily access it.
  • If you prefer to transcribe yourself, use this website for more information about how to transcribe audio to text(from w3.org).
