The restrict access feature enables teachers to restrict the availability of any activity or even a course section according to certain conditions such as dates, grade obtained, group, or activity completion.

Step 1	Navigate to the item you wish to restrict. In this example, we are using a Section. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit Topic.
Step 2	On the resulting screen, expand the Restrict access area and click Add restriction.
Step 3	Next, click Add restriction.
Step 4	On the pop-up screen, choose the type of restriction you wish to use. For this example, we will use Grade to ensure that students earn a specific grade on a quiz before they can view this section.
Step 5	Next to Grade, use the Grade drop-down menu to choose the activity you will use to base the restriction on. Set the grade you want the students to achieve in order to view this section. If you wish to add another restriction, you can click Add restriction again.
Step 6	Click Save Changes.
